Health care costs are out of control, with Pennsylvanians’ premiums rising more than 75% since 2000. Meanwhile more than 1 million state residents have no coverage, and many are forced to seek care in the most expensive way possible—at the emergency room.

Affordable health care should be a basic right, and PennPIRG is working to pass Gov. Ed Rendell’s plan to make low-cost insurance available to all state residents. More.
